resonant frequencies
resonant frequencies is a collaboration between lisa b, spoken word poet, and caro snatch, a Manchester-based electronic meistress, recording engineer and producer. lisa and caro combined their sensitive ears, feminist sensibilities, mischievousness, grit and growl to create a unique recording of 12 tracks of spoken word poetry enhanced by electronic music, vocals, and atmospherics. Pulses, heavy beats and synthetic notes shimmy up to and swirl around base guitar and clarinet. resonant frequencies is the slow food of spoken word poetry. There are no easy answers here; chew before swallowing.

salvaged music
lisa’s debut CD is an intelligent, funny, political, and deeply moving recording of spoken word poetry accompanied by diverse instrumentation. lisa collaborated with members of Barley Wik, a Victoria-based all-girl bluegrass band, and with Glenna Garramone, an independent west coast artist, who contributed her experimental folk and classically trained voice to the project.
